Avis Begins Scooter Pilot Program

Avis Rent-A-Car, based in Parsippany, is rolling out a pilot program in Las Vegas and Orlando that puts mobility scooters in the trunks of rental cars. Customers can also have the units delivered to them. Mobility scooters, which are battery operated, have four wheels and can carry up to 250 pounds.
