Expanding its international partner network, WorldHotels has announced a new partnership with car rental company Avis.

As per the information available, starting from February 2006, the new partnership means WorldHotels’ guests will benefit from up to 20 percent off Avis’ standard rental rates at 4,850 Avis’ stations in 161 countries worldwide.

Michael Ball, chief executive officer, WorldHotels said, “To enhance our global service we are cooperating with key players from the global tourism industry and we are particularly proud to further expand our international partner network by becoming one of Avis’ global hotel partners”.

To avail the benefits, customers need to quote the WorldHotels’ Avis Worldwide discount number when booking car rental online or through the Avis call centre.

Last month, strengthening its market position in Eastern Europe, WorldHotels had signed a partnership with CSA Czech Airlines, adding its first airline partners from the region. As per the information available, from February 2006, members of the carrier’s OK Plus frequent flyer programme will be able to earn 500 OK Plus miles by staying at any of the nearly 500 WorldHotels properties worldwide at all qualifying rates.
